Limited opening for Spring Term

1st January 2021
I am sure that you will have seen that the government has decided that primary schools can only open for the children of critical workers and vulnerable children until February half term.  We are very disappointed that we will not be able to welcome you all tomorrow as we had hoped.

If you believe that your job role is critical to the COVID response, and have not yet notified us of this, please do so by completing the short form at https://forms.gle/EAs9LhvTMQAiVy6c8 as explained in my earlier email.

I am afraid that unless you are a critical worker and have completed the form, your children will need to stay at home tomorrow.

If your child is classed as "vulnerable" according to government guidance, we will be in touch with you individually to offer a place if you would like one.

As I am sure you will understand, this is very short notice for schools - only 12 hours before we were due to start the new term - and I don't yet know exactly how many children will be joining us at school.  Our plan for January 5th is for critical workers' and "vulnerable" children to be in their usual classroom with their usual teacher in the morning.  This will give us a chance to make informed decisions about how to organise the children going forwards.  We will share home learning with the rest of the school community as soon as we are able.

I know many of you will be frustrated and anxious about the next few weeks, and we will do our best to support you and the children that are at home as well as the children who are in school.

I will be in touch again once I have more information.

Take care and look after each other.
