Dear Parents and Carers

Easing of Lockdown

I am sure that many of you will be keen to find out how our government is planning to ease the lockdown, and how this will affect BG School, you and your children.  Boris Johnson has indicated that he will be making some announcements about the government’s plans on Sunday.  I have no advance knowledge of what might be said, but I would like to reassure you that the governors and I are keeping in close contact with the Local Authority who will be supporting us as we plan how to implement any changes that are announced, in the safest way that we can.  We will update you with more detailed information about the plan for BG as soon as we are able.  Thank you for your continued support.

Free School Meals

The times we are currently living in are both uncertain and challenging. Alongside this many families are facing changes in their financial circumstances. If your circumstances have changed, please visit www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals to find out more about the criteria for free school meals, and complete an online application.

Home Learning

If you haven’t yet posted your child’s work to ClassDojo, and need any help or support, please contact the class teachers through Dojo messages, or contact head@burroughgreen.cambs.sch and we will do our best to help you.

I hope you have an enjoyable bank holiday weekend, and are able to participate in some of the VE day celebrations in some way.  Thank you to those children who produced posters – they have been sent to the LA for inclusion in the CCC VE Day video.

If you need any help or advice about anything, please contact us through office@burroughgreen.cambs.sch.uk or head@burroughgreen.cambs.sch.uk or by messaging your class teacher through ClassDojo.  If we can’t help, we might know someone who can!
