Dear Parents and Carers

Happy May Day to you all!  Today should have been a day for our community to get together to celebrate the return of Spring and the banishment of Winter with music and dancing.  Instead, we find ourselves at home, wondering when we will be together again.   For now, we have to reassure ourselves that there will be happier times ahead; that we will come through this and we will be able to celebrate together again one day.

Home Learning

Thank you for all of the work that you have uploaded to Class Dojo this week.  I have particularly loved looking at your rainbows – they are so colourful!  I am amazed by all the different objects you have used to create them; from flowers and fruit to Lego and cars and even siblings!  Thank you.  Class 1 have been working hard with their phonics, building Lego models and identifying egg shells; the children in Class 2 have found out all sorts of information about different animals such as tigers and orang-utans; Class 3 are working hard with White Rose maths and improving their handwriting; and there has been some fantastic robot-based work in Class 4.  Well done to all of you – keep it up!

If you haven’t yet posted your child’s work to ClassDojo, and need any help or support, please contact the class teachers through Dojo messages, or contact head@burroughgreen.cambs.sch and we will do our best to help you.

Free School Meals

The times we are currently living in are both uncertain and challenging. Alongside this many families are facing changes in their financial circumstances. If your circumstances have changed, please visit www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals to find out more about the criteria for free school meals, and complete an online application.

If you need any help or support in the current circumstances, please contact us at office@burroughgreen.cambs.sch.uk or head@burroughgreen.cambs.sch.uk

Have a good weekend.
