Dear Parents and Carers

Outdoor footwear

We have been blessed by good weather so far this term, and we are taking every opportunity to take the children outside for their well-being.  We have also introduced additional exercise into the school day to make up for the impacts of the last lockdown, such as the daily mile (children are being encouraged to run as far as they can in their class’ time slot).  With the better weather, we are also able to use the field as well as the playground and bark/climbing area during playtimes.  As the children are so active during the school day, it is important that their outdoor footwear is suitable for these activities – trainers would be ideal at this time of the year. (Although, please bear in mind that some trainers offer little protection from the rain, and would not be appropriate in wet weather or during the winter).  Sandals are not suitable for active school life!

Covid Tests – LFTs must not be used for testing primary-aged children

Although cases of COVID have decreased hugely, there is still a chance that you or your child could catch it – there are schools in Cambridgeshire that have needed to close bubbles this week.  It is important that if you or your child have any symptoms of COVID (cough, higher than normal temperature, loss of taste or smell) you visit a testing site for a PCR test.  Lateral flow devices must not be used for anyone with symptoms, and must not be used at all for primary-aged children.  Thank you for your support with this.

If you or your child test positive for COVID, please email and also follow the guidance found here.

School Uniform Lost Property

We are building up a pile of lost property in school!  Unnamed items (or items where the name has faded) are very difficult to re-unite with their owners.  Please could you check your child’s clothing to make sure that their name is still legible?  Thank you!
