Reminder: Resuscitation Training for 2023 – March 7th 2023 2pm
We are very grateful to the small group of parents who did resuscitation training this year.  Without them we would not be able to deliver swimming teaching in school, and the PTA would not be able to offer fun sessions after school – I know how much the children look forward to those.
Without parent volunteers, there would be no after-school fun sessions, and we would struggle to deliver two lessons each week during the school day for all classes.  It would be fantastic if, next summer, we had even more resuscitation-trained parents, so that the PTA could offer more fun sessions, and we could continue to provide two lessons each week to everyone.
We have booked next year’s resus training session for Tuesday 7th March 2pm.  Please come!
If you are able to come, please let the office know
Upcoming Events
Make sure you check our school calendar to stay up-to-date with information about future events, term dates, training days etc.  Important dates are added to the calendar long before being listed in the “in the next few weeks…” section below, so it is important to look at the calendar regularly to see what’s happening in the future.
In the next few weeks…
Open Afternoon - Tuesday 12th July
This is your last weekend to complete your home learning projects, which need to be back in school on Tuesday 12th July.  Doors will open at 2:45pm for you to visit the classrooms and have a look at everyone’s projects.  The children really enjoy sharing their learning with you, so please make sure you visit all of the classrooms, and not just the one that your child is in!  Malala Class will only be open until 3:00pm as it takes them longer to pack away at the end of the day, so be sure to visit them before 3 o’clock.  Einstein, Teresa and Obama Classrooms will be open until 3:15pm.
Thursday 14th July – Optional Parent Consultation meetings to discuss the written report
Friday 15th July, 9:05am – Shared Worship (including presentation of Y6 leavers’ hoodies).  Parents welcome.
Upper School Performance of “Olivia” - Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th July 6:30pm
Obama and Teresa Classes are practising hard (with great aspiration and resilience) to be ready to amaze you with their performances of “Olivia”.  Tickets can be booked here.  You can book a maximum of 2 tickets per family in total (not 2 tickets per performance).  Tickets are for families of Y4, 5 and 6 children only.
The booking form will open at 4:30pm today.  We cannot guarantee that you will be allocated your first preference of performance - tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  Bookings will close on Thursday 14th July at 9am.
If your child is in Y6, and you would like to put your name down for extra tickets should they be available, please indicate on the booking form.  Tickets cost £3 each to cover the purchase of the play, performing licences and costumes.  Once your tickets have been confirmed by us, please send your ticket money to school in a named envelope.
Friday 22nd July, 9:15am – Leavers’ Assembly (for parents of Y6 children)

Last few weeks of PTA Committee
The current PTA Committee will be stepping down at the AGM meeting in September/ October (date to follow soon).
At this stage, there have been no indications of interest from anyone regarding any of the roles.
None of the current committee members are in a position to stand again and we will therefore look to disband the PTA at the AGM if no successors become apparent.
As always, we would welcome any questions regarding committee roles or work on
